Who is ECOcart and what is their Global Forestry Projects mission?
The curated portfolio contains a variety of forestry-based carbon offset projects-from reforestation to protection and improved forest management.
These projects take place all over the global south. By supporting this portfolio, we are funding projects like the Katingan Peatland Restoration and Conservation Project, the Mai Ndombe Project, the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve, the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Envira Amazonia Project.
With this portfolio, we can support multiple projects in countries and communities all over the world.
WHAT are the benefits?
-> The projects help reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere by providing protected trees and plants around the world that can absorb carbon from the atmosphere.
-> It provides safe and protected habitat to wildlife all over the world by practicing sustainable forest and timber management that reduce the destruction of wildlife habitats.
-> It protects the local water supplies by acting as a natural filter that provides clean water for the local communities.
-> With our support, we help projects to provide jobs and education opportunities for locals.
HOW CAN YOU TAKE ACTION AND HELP?
Once you reached the checkout, you will have the possibility to tick the box Carbon Neutral Order. This way, you will offset the CO2 emissions of your order by supporting EcoCart's offsetting projects. EcoCart will automatically calculate the amount it costs to make your order carbon neutral. This is based on your location and the weight of your order. The funds will go directly to EcoCart, supporting the offsetting initiatives of the Global Forestry Projects.
