The yellow stands for those whose genders do not exist within the binary. White and purple correspond to people identifying with all or many genders and those who may consider themselves to be a mix of female and male. Lastly, black accounts for those people who identify as not having any gender.

Kye Rowan created the Non-Binary Pride Flag in 2014 to be flown alongside the genderqueer flag – not to replace it. The flag has yellow, white, purple, and black horizontal stripes. This flag represents non-binary people who don’t feel represented by the genderqueer flag.

Taken together, these four colors of the flag aim to include and specifically depict the experience of non-binary people. Non-binary people worldwide have embraced Rowan’s design, and today you can see the flag being carried at Pride parades around the wr.

While the term “nonbinary” or “enby” can mean different things to different people, it is typically used to describe someone whose gender identity isn’t exclusively male or female.

The flag is 90 cm tall by 150 cm long, digitally printed in one piece on polyester, with a stable side edge and two eyelets for fastening.
